Homeward
“What does it mean to go home? And what if home is not a place, but a feeling, a memory, a body?” With these questions, Homeward, the 2026 issue of Mulieris Magazine, invites readers to reflect on the meaning of home and the journeys that lead us there — across continents, through memory, or deep within consciousness.
Created over the course of one year and involving more than 100 contributors from around the world, Homeward examines movement in all its forms. Some journeys are chosen: the pursuit of new landscapes, knowledge, or the need to build a home where one feels whole.
Others are imposed: exile, migration, displacement, or the slow process of rebuilding after loss. Many journeys exist in a space shaped by social class, opportunity, political realities, health, or family obligations, where agency is present but constrained. Homeward navigates this “space between,” revealing the tensions between longing, belonging, and the forces that shape our paths.
